Footnotes

Visionary Technologies reserves the right to make changes to this document and the product described herein, at anytime, without obligation on Visionary to provide notification of such change. All functionality, features, specifications and other product information provided in this document including, but not limited to, the benefits, design, pricing, components, performance, availability, and capabilities of the product are subject to change without notice or obligation. The brands mentioned on this website are the property of their respective owners and are used for informational purposes only. These brands are not affiliated with Visionary Technologies Ltd, and their mention does not imply any partnership or endorsement by them.

  1. Low Glare Definition - Visionary Technologies Ltd: 'Low Glare' is defined in accordance with a Unified Glare Rating (UGR) of 19 or below. This rating, calculated for one of the product variants, involves specific parameters: ceiling/cavity reflectance of 0.7, wall reflectance of 0.5, and working plane reflectance of 0.2, within a room of dimensions X = 4H and Y = 12H. It's important to note that glare levels may vary between product variants due to factors such as design differences and installation environments. Therefore, the UGR for other variants might differ, and users should consult specific product data for accurate glare information.
  2. The light output statistic provided represents the best possible performance measured, subject to a ±7% tolerance. This figure is intended for guidance only and may vary due to factors such as optical, power, and electro mechanical variances. For more detailed and specific information, refer to the product datasheet.
  3. Surge capability, particularly in the context of lighting products and accessories, relates to the ability of electrical devices to withstand sudden increases in voltage or current without damage. The terms "L-N" and "L-FG/N-FG" refer to different types of surge events. "L-N" (Line to Neutral) signifies a surge between the active(line) and neutral conductors, a common scenario in AC power systems. Conversely, ",L-FG/N-FG" (Line to Frame Ground/Neutral to Frame Ground)describes surges that occur between the line or neutral and the frame ground(protective earth), representing different pathways through which electrical disturbances can affect equipment. Meeting the Performance Criterion B indicates that the device can sustain a specific level of surge without functional degradation or loss of structural integrity, ensuring reliability and safety in varying electrical environments, especially pertinent in regions like New Zealand with its specific electrical standards and requirements.
  4. Flicker Index (IEEE 1789): As defined under IEEE Standard 1789, this index measures the fluctuation in brightness of light sources, crucial for compliance with various health and safety regulations. Under IEEE Standard 1789 for LED lighting, a flicker index of less than 0.1 is generally considered "flicker-free." This standard indicates that lighting with such a low flicker index is unlikely to be perceptible or cause health issues related to flicker, such as eye strain or headaches.
  5. LED Driver Lifespan (in Hours): The estimated lifespan of LED drivers, commonly ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 hours, is based on ideal usage conditions. This estimation is subject to variations due to real-world factors, notably thermal conditions and ambient temperature, along with voltage fluctuations and usage patterns. Excessive heat can significantly reduce the lifespan of LED drivers. As per New Zealand law, manufacturers, including Visionary Technologies Ltd, must convey that these hour-based lifespan figures are approximations and not absolute guarantees, reflecting typical performance under optimal conditions.
  6. L70, L85, L90 TM-21 Lifespan Calculations and Limitations: L70, L85, and L90 TM-21 refer to methodologies for predicting the lifespan of LED lighting, where L70, L85, and L90 indicate the points at which light output drops to 70%, 85%, and 90% of its original brightness, respectively. These TM-21 calculations, endorsed by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), extrapolate long-term performance from shorter-term tested data. However, it's important to note that these are estimations with inherent limitations; they might not fully account for all real-world variables such as temperature fluctuations, usage patterns, and power quality. These lifespan predictions serve as guidelines rather than exact forecasts, and actual performance can vary based on operating conditions.
  7. Visionary IP65 Products are splash, water, and dust resistant and were tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP65 under IEC standard 60529. Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions. Resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Liquid damage not covered under warranty.
  8. Product warranty disclosure statements and full details can be found by viewing our Warranty Documentation, Guardian Service Agreements for commercial and residential products and by viewing our terms of service. All documentation can be found on the Visionary Technologies website under the support menu.
  9. This product has achieved an IK10 rating, denoting the highest level of protection against mechanical impacts as defined in the EN 62262 standard. However, it's important to note that while IK10 represents resistance to impacts of up to 20 joules, this does not imply invulnerability to all forms of physical damage. The rating is specific to impacts and does not encompass other forms of mechanical stress or environmental factors. Users and installers should be aware of these limitations, as per New Zealand's product safety and consumer information regulations, and understand that the IK10 rating does not cover all potential damage scenarios.
